Camp 2006 Arbury Park
LA 21 went on camp to Arbury Park during week 3.
The camp’s aim was to educate us on nature and we were surrounded by forest.
There were lots of activities for us to do.
The one thing about camp that I enjoyed the most was the free time that we had. We could do anything during free time, like playing on the play ground, just relaxing, staying in our dorm or we could explore the park. Arbury Park is huge! Most of the time I went exploring with friends or by myself.
I loved camp because I love nature and exploring!

Cool Camp!
On Wednesday the 16th of February, my class went on camp. We travelled by bus and I was sitting next to Nico and David. When we got there we all had to drop our bags and go inside to the dining room.
The instructor told us where everything was like the dorms, toilets and the meeting place. After that we took our bags and walked to the dorms. We made our beds and went to the meeting place.
The next day we did some orienteering. I was in a group with Zac and Bradley. That night, in my dorm, awake was Nicholas, Jackson, Antony, Bradley, Daniel, Ethan, Yanni, Zac, David and me. We all had hardly got any sleep because we couldn’t stop talking.
On Friday afternoon we packed our bags and travelled back to school, after experiencing a wonderful camp.

*Dorms*
The sleeping arrangements were very good because we got to pick who we wanted to sleep in our dorms.
On the first night we played games until Miss Brook made us go to bed. Two people had headaches so we didn’t talk that much but me and my friend were talking in whispers.
On the second night we discovered a window were we could see into the boy’s dorm (not that we wanted to see into the boy’s dorm!!). After that I had a headache and fell asleep and woke up at six in the morning!!!

L.A2′S VISIT
I went to LA2 and stayed there while my class was on camp. At the start I helped La2 students for a little while, then I went o the computer and finished a game. At recess I played with Samuel with my fly wheel. The next day we went outside to play before recess. The last day a girl in year 7 came and she was helping too. I went on the Activboard and drew on the wallpaper. When I was leaving school the bus from camp returned and I saw my friends Zac and Daniel.

Fun Camp!
On Wednesday the 16/02/06 we left school on a bus to travel to Arbury Park. It was a long trip there. On the way, we all saw Alexander Downer’s house. When we arrived our caretaker Richard explained to us the safety rules about Arbury Park Outdoor School. Then we had morning tea. After morning tea we settled into our dorms. My highlights of the camp were doing different kinds of orienteering and bird ecology. My special moment on camp was when Jessica and I caught 2 baby yabbies, different sized tadpoles and a backswimmer. I also enjoyed the catchment walk and freshwater life. When it was time to leave everyone got angry because they had had so much fun. I really enjoyed this camp. It was really fun and exciting.

*!MOVE IT!*
Today is Friday, the last day of the week and we have art as our last lesson of the day. Our art lessons this term are about the Commonwealth Games. So today with pipe cleaners and straws we made stick figure athletes. We had to make the joints flexible. The joints we made included elbows, ankles, wrists, knees, back, hips and neck. Once we had finished making the athletes we moved the joints in our athletes to postion our athlete for a sport. I made my athlete into an ice skater.
